Yes, the mass air sensor is tied into all of that, but that mesh screen in front of it has got to limit the velocity and volume of the air trying to come through it which is why I am trying to figure how to get it out of there and let the air flow better. They probably designed it that way since high performance was not the focus, hence we can run 87 octane regular without pinging or other problems. I wonder what they do with it when they add a supercharger.
