I have the same problem. I took it in and got the "Its Normal" reply. I told them that I knew it was the splip yoke on the tranny binding on the output shaft on the trasfer case. How do I know this? Because my 01 Silverado did the same thing. They still would not do anything. So I left all pissed and when I got home I removed the driveshaft and applied some grease to the splines. The clunk was gone! I called the dealer and thanked them for their great service! Well after about 3 months it came back. Not it kind of comes and goes. There is a TSB about the driveshaft being too short but it does not specifically mention a clunk. I am taking mine back whe I get time and telling them I do not want it back until its fixed.

On the 2-1 downshift clunk, I had that too and the above TSB fixes it.

Please let me know how you make out with this.
