This is an almost impossible task. The actual XM Tuner is a separate box mounted under the dash. This box "learns" the VIN of the vehicle it is installed in, and will display "XM Lock" if used in a different vehicle.
Unlike the head units, the XM tuner boxes cannot be unlocked by dealers. GM will NOT sell new XM tuners, nor will they unlock used units.
In the past, a few people have managed to get new boxes from dealers. This has dried up, however.[/quote]
