Suggestion 1:
See if your dealer will let you borrow (rent? for some token amount?) a set of take off wheels.

Hmmm, that might be possible. I'll have to check into that.

quote:
Suggestion 2:
Support vehicle on 4 real heavy duty jack stands - none of your discount parts store stuff - on a concrete surface well away from any activity that might disturb your vehicle.

This is the idea I was thinking of. Of course I don't have any jack stands, so I'd have to go buy some. Which probably aren't cheap... Maybe I could buy them and return them the same day?

quote:
Suggestion 3:
Purchase set of take-off wheels cheaply and have _them_ powdercoated.

This was my first choice, but the wife wouldn't go for spending $300 on rims.

TheGoodHummerMan, the price for Powder Coating is $25 per tire, and I do plan on having all 5 tires done. I don't think remounting the tires and balancing them is going to be very expensive, but I suppose I should at least check into it before I start.

I'll have pictures up when it's done for sure. But it won't be until after Memorial Day Weekend.
