After making the rock rails for my Hummer I noticed another pretty weakly designed part. Im going to call it the lower trailing arm, I dont know if that is the correct name or not. The link is in a vunerable spot and looks like it wouldn't take much abuse. I noticed I had already scuffed it pretty deep w/o even dragging it over a rock. This "problem" was cheep and easy to remedy with some 1/4 inch angle fit and welded as a support (and a smooth sliding surface) on the open end of the arm. Here are some before and after pictures. This should also offer alot of side to side support. At any rate it's one less thing to worry about on the trail .
