Thank you for the responses. I'm tired of the tire in the rear being that I do take it in the rear alot!!

I'll keep in mind the clearance issue although it seems to me that if I only put it on top when necessary, it shouldn't be an issue.
Any top racks that come highly recommended for both tire and additional stuff??
