Personally, I decided to skip the whole primer step and just dab it with factory paint and a toothpick. You're going to get a LOT more chips. I started out with 2 tiny ones in the first 3 months of ownership. After about a year, I got the truck thoroughly cleaned and found about 15 chips. None of them bigger than the head of a pin, but it seems to be a way of life with the H2. I kinda think it's a poor paint job tho - I never had that many chips in the entire 7 year lifespan of my last truck. I can't attribute all of them to the boxy design.
