I agree, and it appears to be working. Personally, I have not seen a good car or truck commercial in years, so what GM is offering with the H3 is, in my opinion, no better or worse than other manufacturers.
Then again, I'm not your normal consumer. I research everything, and discount all advertising as BS, and that includes everything from my Plasma TV to the Hummer. Yes, since I work for GM I will, in all likelihood purchase a GM vehicle, but I didn't always work for GM, and prior to GM, I purchased vehicles based upon what I researched, not what some marketing wiener thought I would like.
