Good move. Stay away from the Early Times.
Thompsons is what burned me out on whiskey. The bar across the street had Makers, JD, and Thompsons. By the time I started venturing over that way I had already burned myself out on JD, so that was out of the equation.
Makers was only served straight up, thats all fine and well but when I'm trying to get drunk its not possible to drink that much whiskey straight up. Also, you were not allowed to shoot Makers.
That left Thompsons.... I have alot of vague remberences' of nights while drinking that stuff like it was going out of style. I lost it one time too many, ever since whiskey has just not been the same.
I'm hoping that one day my gag reflex will go away, I tried to force myself through it by drinking more whiskey. That was a very bad idea.
