It's way easier to clean Line-X than rattle-can bedliner. I know exactly what you're talking about, because I had to use rattle-can liner on my door panels and dash because Line-X was too thick (since a lot of the pieces have to fit in and over one another.)

You really get no lint trail on Line-X...it doesn't snag your rag like the spray can stuff does. I simply spray it with some cleaner and wipe it off. It's also WAY more durable when it comes to nail scratches. It's been three years and I have no scratches, marks or scars on the rear panels at all. And I'm always hauling sh!t and/or dogs...albeit, smaller dogs; beagles.

Regarding cleaning parts sprayed with the rattle-can liner...I've found if you lightly go over the coated part with a scotch bright pad you'll knock off most of the really rough bits that tend to snag rags. It leaves you with the rough looking texture but makes it a bit easier to clean...cause that can be a pain in the a55, I agree.
