Thus allowing for better departure angle. I had the carrier tilted in toward the body of the truck as well. IMO the factory carrier gave the illusion that the tire was falling away from the truck.

sweet idea that I have to be 'like Mike'...I just dropped my carrier off at the local welding/fabrication shop with your pics. Mine should be ready Tuesday!
