I found an 1 yr old Japanese car magazine at home, I bought it for fun, "American car life magazine", this is only one of many monthly magazines in Japan dedicated to American cars only. This one is nearly 1" thick in full colors. Attached is one ad page among 100s of ads in this issue. Remember this is 12/2001 1 yr old. 01 Yukon XL 6.15 million yen = US$52K, or 2000 Tahoe LS 4.25M yens=US$36K. Pages after pages of American new and used cars, vans and SUVs. You have to remember these American vehicles drive on the wrong side in Japan. I brought this up because a while back there was a brief discussion that Japanese buyers don't buy and don't like American cars and Americans, which I disagreed.
US$1=118 yen. '96 Suburban SLT lift-up 3,950,000=US$33,500. I will try to find a new one with Hummer in it.
