They are a couple millimeters thick of smoked dark plexiglass with three clear 3M double-sided tape on the back. It is flat all the way across so unfortunately it does not cover the edges, but frankly you don't need it. Mine have been perfect. It's simply just a stick-on application. They have both packages for the top tail lights and bumper lights. It is a little expensive but it is the easiest way and simplest way to do it in my opinion. You get what you pay for
