Default Re: night vision

I have installed "night driver" in serval H2's and an H1. The H1 setup is pretty ugly with the sensor being mounted to the pillar post in front of the driver. The H2 is a very "in conito" mount. The actual collector mounts in the cutout of the front bumper wing on the drivers side. They also send install a "dummy" on the passenger side to balance the look. The monitor is mounted on the dash, centered on the steering wheel. It comes with a mounting piece that replaces the dashboard in front of the steering wheel. The screen folds flat when not in use and is almost unnoticeable. A button releases the lock and you adjust the screen sort of forward and back to give your height the best view of it.
It can be used in absolute blackness and you will be able to see clear as day. The system also filters out light so that when you have cars coming towards you with their lights on, it filters out the light and you can see their grill, hood ornaments and everything else. It will increase the distance you are able to see things at night about 5 times.
If you have ever seen Cops when they are using the FLIR system (forward looking infared) it looks like that on the screen. Black and white and you are easily able to "see" in the dark.
