I know on non-Alphas it has been discussed not to load up your roof rack all the way on a wagon, especially the rear of the wagon. I've read that too.
So, I would just be careful on how much weight you put up on there, unless you know for sure that it's been reinforced better. That is the reason I ordered a GOBI. They are lightweight considering some other designs out there.
Nice rack, really makes your Alpha look that much sweeter.
