GM parts direct has moved but has the OEM style light mount but sounds like you should go for a real cross bar by Wheelin or one like it so you can be seen coming and going. If not the in light strobe packs work great. I use them on my Boat Haulin truck, white in the amber metro molded park light gasket and brake light but use a double amber strobe on the cab top.
