Well everyone, it's that time of year again. I was just contacted by the city of Mobile, Alabama and they want Hummers to come back and pull the floats again. This years parade will be held on Saturday, March 13,2010. Here is a brief overview....
Every year the Exchange Club of Mobile, Alabama hosts the annual St Patrick's Day parade in downtown Mobile. The participating Hummer owners meet first thing Saturday morning at a designated area and we are given locations to pickup floats at their storage facilities. We then tow the floats to the staging area where we hang out until they are ready for us. We then tow the floats along the parade route and at the end, we meet back at the central park where they have a a cook off and other fun activities. For those who live up near Birmingham, we caravan down on Friday after noon and stay at a hotel near the parade route.
