I use picasa just because it was a free download. Go to picasa.com.

Once downloaded and install it should automatically import the pics on your computer but certainly will with new pics.

In picasa choose a pic you want to resize by double clicking it. Under the picture - click on "export". A box will pop up -there will be a slide scale for resizing. I usually put it in the middle. Seems to work good.

Finish export.

Now go to "My Pictures" you will find a "picasa export" file that holds your resized stuff.

Hope that helps.

p.s. if it doesn't automatically import all of your pics on install and you have something you want to move to picasa for resizing - there is an import button in the upper left corner.

I'm not very computer savy. I never have been able to figure out how to open my pics in paint. Can you briefly tell us how?

I did it by accident once and the thing I liked about it is being able to block out lic plate numbers - something you can't do with picasa, atleast that I've ever figured out.

One nice thing about picasa is you can adjust color, brightness etc. You can make an Ok pic look really nice.

Launch Paint, then chose File>Open.....and navigate to your file.

Or, view your file in windows explorer, then right click on it and chose: "Open with>Paint".

The Bling club will help you step by step if you convert to Bling status. Actually if you have Powerpoint you can do it too. just copy and paste the image on to a blank slide and then resize and save as a jpeg and presto!

Another really nice application is ACDSee 7.0 from ACD Systems For more intensive Photo and vectored art applications my favorite program is Corel Draw v12.

Just download the image resizer powertoy from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Then you can right click on the filename of the picture choose the resolution you want and presto, instant resizing. No having to open any programs.

You can also instantly resize groups of files all at once.

Ok I did the ms paint thing, I was able to size down the picture, and save it as a jpg. But when I try to post the picture ,it keeps telling me my piture is still to big. The size of my picture is 756x504 and I need to take it down to 700x500 pix I think so I can post it on the Hummer site.

So how do I get the pix size down from 756x504 to 700x500 ? And make it work?
