Does anybody know if the h2 have the rear door interior lock bypass lever in the doors??? I bought a h3 to find out that they don't. I thought that all suvs were required to have these, I feel pretty stupid that I overlooked this and even though I LOVE this suv, it may have to go!!!

Make me a deal on it

Sorry, don't know the answer to your question for sure but I believe they do. Post in the general H2 section and I am sure someone will answer it pretty quick.

Alex- I feel you mis understood the point of this posting,A) I was wondering if this was unique to the h3 but not the h2. B) Like most of the buyers here I didn't sit down in the dealership to read the manual, I don't have the time I do have a family, but this WAS my over sight. C) If I wanted a carvan I would have bought one for my wife. D) ???? SUV are important kids are more important, If that makes my gay thats cool-grow up

Rather than giving up the H3, how about just teaching your kids to keep their hands off the doors? There's whole generations of kids that grew up with cars, and without child safety locks.

Wild one I have a mentally disabled child. She is a great kid but doesn't understand the concept of danger. You are right though this has been a battle that I lost to the Mommy!!!

I've never had to use the safety locks in the h2, but my kids don't try and reach for them. In fact, when they're in their child seats, they can't get out by themselves...so that kinda solves that problem.

I'm with you though, those locks are important, especially when they don't understand... I'm surprised the h3 doesn't have them....

I don't think H2's had child safety locks at first, either, but now they do. Perhaps the H3 will follow suit.

In the meantime, if you don't mind playing chauffeur to people in the backseat...I wonder how hard it is to take off the inner door panel and disconnect or just entirely remove the rear door lever.

Getting an H2 is nice, too, but it sure is a costly solution.

Good luck!
