Default speedometer

Anybody had a problem with the speedometer. Used to be whenever I went over 85 it would stick, now whenever the heat is on it sticks, it doesn't really stick it just won't go back down, it will max, then makes some clicking noises than within a couple days work it's way back to normal. Is there something simple i can do without having to replace it?

I had that problem few months ago and mine was out of warranty already. But my dealer replaced it under warranty anyways. Saved me $500-$600
