Hello folks!

Just wanted to hear how you guys keep your paintjob looking good. How do you wash you beloved H2. I wash all my vehicles with out any brush, I always use just pressurized water. I always have a special treatment done on my paint when I get my vehicles new, so that I don't need to wax it again ever. Pretty cool. They give me a 6 year guarantee on the shine on my cars. This means a shine of a new car for 6 years. And it seems to work too.

One thing I hate more than anything is those little washing marks that are left on top of your paintjob when washed with a brush, those kinda swirly ones. Anybody else noticed these? Escpecially when you have somebody else to wash your car there will be noticeable marks on the paint job. My opinion, no respect what so ever... just some thoughts

I use car wash - whatever kind, and wax with zanio bros wax. (it is like a three stage wax) Every now and then I run the clay bar over everything!

What is the treatment You have done to Your rides. Is it available in USA? With these custom rigs that We personally own and some of Our customers would like that treatment.
Let Me know about this please!!!
Thanks

Hey TAZ!

I'll try to find something on the Internet. So far I haven't found it anywhere other than Finland and Sweden. I'm sure there are similiar treatments available is US, but I can tell you this is very good.

I had my car treated with it. We have very ****ty weather here in Helsinki. Not too much of snow on the ground during the winter, but lots of snowing, salt, and other stuff on the roads. My car was treated and I swear it looked like a new, when I wash it, after 2 years and I wash it like once every two months. The shine is exceptional and you will have that waxed or new car slippyness of the paint for much longer time than with regular wax. Dirt doesn't stick on it as easily too...

It is called DITEC, try to look around if anybody has heard about it. It costs about $500 over here to do and takes a day or two.

Thanks!

I can't remember the name of it but there is a process sold in the US that is probably the same thing. Basically what they do is put a buffer on it and heat the paint to the point where it just starts to melt and then smooth it out. Supposedly closes all the paint's pores. I did read some reviews and they said it worked a little but was mostly BS.

Someone posted the link a long time ago. I'll look.....

I wonder how you fix chips and scratches. Can you just buff them out, like you would a scratch on paint?

One of the guys that detailed my truck last time said it's good stuff. I don't remember if it was "Ming" or not, but I'll ask him again.

At this point I'll do about anything to make it easier to clean! I always wash it by hand.

No it is not the same method. In this one they take the original wax of with some sort of chemical. Then they put like six layers of different new harder components on from which the last is similiar that dentists use on our teeth (this sounds scary ). And then they let it dry and clean it. I can tell it works. No waxing ever again, and all you have to do is a new top layer in every 18 months.

Now, the math for me. On my current car, if I take to dealship for wash and wax (during the day at work), it's like $150. I can do this 4 times and it is more than getting the DITEC treatment...

W1N thanks if you can help me find it. With the custom work We do on Our own rigs like Mine is getting a new paint job that i do not know what it looks like i would love to put it on it.
Our shop boss asked if i trusted him and yes was the answer so he said he is not going to tell Me what he is pantig it and I will be real happy with it. But, it will be a one of paint job. But, i would like to treat it although I have heard a secret that I'm getting many many coats of clear.
Thanks W1N for just the effort to help me find it. Someone may need to bring the process to the USA if they can get Me in touch with the right people.
