I posted this yesterday and just noticed the responses. Yes, "God Bless OUR Troops" loud and clear. If it wasn't for Americans, Praque boy would be Goose-stepping to another tune--the whole world would be.
Whether you're for the cause or against it, I could give a s---, our guys are over there and there are unfriendlys that are out to kill them so it's kill or be killed, simple as that.
I'm proud of our guys and gals representing America wherever they are.

Ok.....I saw this as I was about to jump into the H3 groups....so I am a cross over for this one post......

My 2 Cents.....

I watched 9/11 from across the hudson river....walked out of my building to the smell of the destruction......after seeing that I have zero issues with a war against "evil", and if in a war zone things are done that might be seen as a touch on the rough side to get information so be it.......if you want to win a war against anmials then you must fight like them....

And Eldar2k, next time someone in your part of the world need the USA to come bail them out, all I can say is one thing, "Don't call us, we will call you"

Umm... Ok, I'll bite. How is goose-stepping supposed to be only a WWI reference? Secondly, Prague was the enemy in WWI as in Austria-Hungary along WITH Germany.

I'm not sure the exclusion was meant anyway, but nearly 300,000 Americans died in WWII and 52,000 of them were in the Pacific. By comparison, a total of about 60,000 British troops died in all of WWII. The U.S. casualties was a tenth of that number in one day, D-Day.

While none of that is anything to be proud of, the U.S. did come to the aid of it's Allies and sacrificed many single individual soldier's lives to stop the Germans.

Of course, one could go on and on about the thousands of Merchant Marines that died before the U.S. entered the war while ferrying supplies and equipment over to Europe to aid in the effort. This from an infant country that had already been there, done that.

So, frankly, I am saying that Hummer Geek's one statement is simply true, but it does not discount other countries' involvement either. The same could be said about the British, because without her soldiers it would be a different story also.

Well put Paragon. I don't chime in to the forum often but when I saw the picture of the H1 upside down, so I'm thinking, damn, my first reaction was "God Bless Our Troops". Some of our guys are driving along and boom--their gone (not in that photo but in many roadside bombings). I've got friends and family serving in Iraq so I reacted hastly to Eldar2K's remarks.
I still stand by my original post.
