Do chains help with deep snow?
I've read through the posts talking about packed snow and ice, but I'm curious if anyone has got stuck in deep fresh snow and was able to get out with just chains. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
When I first bought my H2 in '03 I got stuck in fresh snow on Fall River Road in February (idiot venture). Chains do nothing for deep snow - the issue is high centering.

Thanks for the reply. So shovel and/or winch for the deep stuff... Chains for traction on packed snow and ice (if needed).
