Default Got a foot of snow last night....

Some repeats of what our H3s need for cold country:
1. Heated mirrors. Badly.
2. Stronger windshield wipers. I froze my philanges off clearing them because they tripped off-line.
3. Redesign the rear fender well. Like I've said before, NASA couldn't have designed a better material gathering system if it tried!
4. Build a cover over the back of the front bumper parts and extensions. They too collect about a quarter million cubic feet of material (snow, mud, dead animals)
5. Redesign the door handles with more in mind than asthetics. They suck. Ice, snow, and mud are not friendly to them.
6. Nuttin' else. A foot of snow didn't mean squat for it besides those two items. It is beautiful up in the hills. That little five cylinder was designed to warm up quickly and it sure does. That's a great benefit.

I agree with your list. The door handles seem to have a crap attraction system built into them, as they always collect all manner of road debris to get all over your hands. And you definately need to open up the rear door when washing the car to get all the sand/salt out of that fender well.

I went and played in the fresh powder last night and my wipers froze over every 5 min and didn't do anything and I had them running and defroster on the whole time. I don't remember that happening with my other vehicles is it pretty normal?

Hey Neo, now that you have moved further north, use the blue windshield washer fluid that's good to minus 25 or 30.

I remember when we moved from L.A. back to Montana and I forgot to use up the water in the sprayer and it froze. Had to warm the van up in the garage then spray out all the water and refill with the strong fluid.

funny you said that, because when I was driving up in the snow, we saw a white h2 being towed out on a flatbed. I figured it was a family that slid and hit something and broke a tie rod.
