We just got back from a last minute 1 week trip to the West Coast of FL. We basicly spent the whole week with a few freinds that live in Tampa looking at different towns. Here is what we thought in a quick overview:
Anything North of Tampa = Good Deals but not so sure it's for us. If you need a Great Realtor in the New Port Richey area, and I do mean Great We were lucky enough to meet John Durkin who put together a full day of house hunting with no notice. He is also a full bird in the Marine Corps Squad Leader and Top Gun Grad flying the F-18!! He truly is very helpful:

I have never seen so many Homes For Sale. Some streets every Home was For Sale! For sure it's a buyers market. IMO for the next year is the time to steel a property in Florida. I heard stories like this a lot: House on market for $850,000, - price drop, price drop, price drop now on market for $695,000 just sold for $595,000!!
