Default Re: New Eaton Front Locker

Often the diff manufactirers dont want you to use synthetic fluid because sometimes it actually lubricates too well. there are certain clearances that need to grab when they are intended to ans dont always when dynthetic gear lube is used. ohh and the weight of theoil has nothign do do wth it, 75-90 is 75-90. eric hayden the 4 wheel poarts head tech for thewhole chain gave about a 15 minute lecture on why the synthetic lube can cause clunking on occasion, it has somethign to do with it centrifugal force slingin the slipprier ouil away from certan surfaces when driving in the highway for ling distances. the best thing to do is ask the differential amnufacturer what they recomened.
