Anyone know how to calibrate the Temperature reading on the Inside Rearview mirror? I did what the mamual instructed, but I am still getting temperature reading in the 90's when it is about 40's outside. I live in Northern Virginia.

I did disengaged the battery yesterday to change my lights' housing (to HID).

Thanks in advance

Perhaps the gauge is faulty and needs to be replaced - warranty item. That is quite a big temperature difference.

I need to get the Service Manual [$120.00] so that I can locate such items when they do go bad and my warranty has expired.

Does anybody know where the sensor is located for the temp on the mirror? My problem is that it is always reading high, and occasionally spikes to over 100 degrees. For example, it was about 80 degrees yesterday, and on a 20 minute drive home, it stayed at 128 degrees. The service at the local gm says that it's normal and it will eventually reset itself. Needless to say, I don't believe him. Someone had mentioned before that sometimes the sensor gets dirty and throws off the gauge.

The outside air temp sensor is located right behind the grille right side. Here's a pic. I'd check for connections, heat source, mounting, etc. If that's not it it's probably a bad sensor.

Can I use water and a cloth to clean it? Or do I have to use something different? Thanks again.

Don't think water & cloth would hurt a thing.
