Another time I was audience to a 'loud converstation held for my benefit' from an older couple in another tan Prius at a rest-stop. It went like this:

MAN: "Well, Honey, let's get back on the road."
WOMAN: "Ok...good thing we don't have to stop for gas."
MAN: "Yep...42 miles to the gallon...ha ha."
ME: "Yeah...me neither! 32 gallon tank. Have a nice day."

I find it gets more compliments when it's dirty and more dirty looks when it's clean.

Hahaha..I'm sorry that made me laugh..something I would think of saying. Gotta love prius owners! Hope they like it when the battery explodes!
