I was wondering that as well, why would they use leaf springs? But it is a a test mule and doesent fully represent the final product.
I used to work for the company this picture was taken at and the vehicles are crushed after all tests are complete.

Mike...great work...
But, I've got some real deep GM sources that have confirmed the H3 is very very similar in size to the H2. I'm not sure what this vehicle is...but I'm not entrely certain we can figure it's the H3? Maybe they're using it to test certain components or something?
Still, great work...and congrats on your new arrival!!

Thank,s Steve she is a beauty, her name is Mikayla weighing in at 7 LBS. Now about the Hummer Mule,
I know for fact that this is only some what represents what the H3 will be in final production. I beleave the vehicle size is close and some drivetrain components(hope they loose the leaf springs)I think with a smaller size and the same 4 wheel drive system as the H2 it will really be a great off roader and it will be intersting to see when it comes out. this vehicle will go to the crusher when testing is done.
