After following this site for two months, I'm ready to trade in my Explorer for an H3. I'm torn between the Adventure and Basic package. Does the Adventure package ride much stiffer than the basic and are the tires noisier? Is there anyone here with experience in driving both? This SUV will be used 98% around town, but I love the look of the big tires and locking rear axle for snow.
Is the monsoon stereo worth the extra price?

Seeing as I drive both everyday, I can tell you that there is almost no noticeable difference between the ride and road noise. If you've been told it will ride a little stiffer, you'll be looking out for it and notice it maybe. But it's hard for me to tell the difference between them, to be honest with you.

The Monsoon stereo is great, you'll really enjoy it.

I have driven both, and I will say there is a slight difference on extremely rough roads, and MI is noted to have more than their share of rough roads (honestly, the roads in MI suck and are the worse so-called paved roads I have ever driven on ). However, on regular types of pavement found in most other states, you will not notice a difference, unless you really have a sensitive butt.

The bigger tires look much better. The ride with the adventure package is great, at least as good as any pickup I have ever been in.

Sean, we have the OR package and love it. It rides great. After driving both, the lower gearing on the OR package feels better.
Rich, you'll have to go to the MTN's with us sometime.
