I have a good friend who was looking at the H3. He read "all the posts on the H3 site," and told me he thinks the H3s are having too many teething problems.
I told him I've had mine since June and except for the transfer case not being filled properly on the early models, I've never been back to the dealer or had any problems after they topped mine off. Mine has had some hard use on the highway on trips, offroad and in the mud.
It always seems those with problems scream the loudest. I've also looked back at the separate pictures forum (there are some really good pictures I love looking at) and the problems posting on this forum and 11 of those with problems by my count never posted pictures - do they really own H3s? Whatever happened to H3Lady and her window trim? If you're happy speak up!

Anything could happen where you could possibly wish you had it but for the most part, only if you plan on doing some off roading. Though there are plenty that go out with base models and do just fine. I am sure it would help on the resale as well.

No problems. I was saying that I'm amazed how I can beat the truck offroad, and when I get back on the highway, it's just as tight as before. No squeeks or rattles. I was going 55mph down a dirt road this morning just beating the suspension and no problems. I love it. 14,000 miles

I've had mine for 6 months and about 7000 miles. I love it, what a great on and off-road rig! I've had a couple of small probs, passenger seat, and recall for washer pump and a prob w/ the wiring (passenger side door). It just so happens that I'm sitting here waiting for my H3 at Jerry Seiner Hummer in salt lake as I write this reply post and, that's only because of an allignment (I adjusted the front torrsion bars).
It really is'nt bad comming here for service, I get a free detail!
I LOVE MY H3!!

Just under 3000 miles and according to the dealer, the electronic controller within the encoder motor has failed.
The encoder motor shifts the transfer case from high range to low.
The symptom was as you were driving it shifted into low on its own and could not manually be put back into high. It put itself back into high after the ignition was turned off while setting awhile.

Have had my rig for three months and have had 1 alignment problem which was caused by me. The dealer turned my car around in under a half day with giving me a rental. I've previously owned an Audi, Saab, and LR3. The audi and land rover were in the shop within the first two months. As somebody already mentioned, everytime i get in the truck I smile. Too bad I'm moving and it's not coming with me till the summer time

7800 miles in about 100 days. No problems. Thsi vehicle gets a lot of mountain driving and has gone everywhere I have aksed it to go. Record snowfall this year and today I drove down and unplowed road in 12" of snow...no sweat.

My only issue is the ovespray onto the rear fenders from the front tires. I have the mud flaps but there is stillsignifdicant spray.....

I also think the wiper blades suck. They get iced over and frozen in an arc becoming useless. Get out clean off and in a mimutes they suck agian...in heavy snow. Cannot find a good replacement yet.

Yellow 5 Speed Luxury pkg, Black Leather, SunRoof, Black and Chrome accents. Black Brush guard and steps. Company logos on the way.

Just like survey's, 90% of the people that complete them are those who are unhappy w/ the service or whatever. Same rings true here. Negativity always speaks louder. (Not saying that everyone who's made a compliant against their H3 hates it...so don't get your panties in a wad, k?!)

I've had small problems (knock on wood) with mine (radio buttons flaking, recalled rear window washer, and the recent boot leak), but......

I LOVE MY H3!!!

Whining bitch. Any chance you get you piss & moan. Glad you're selling your imaginary H3 and moving on. Even as a figment of your imagination the H3 was too much for you.

I went to get the H3 and the winter left me. I guess winter freak out too when it got the word of my new H3.
I have 4,000 miles in mine andnone of this problems have come up not even a recall on mine..

7500 miles
1. Rearend replaced
2. Rear washer replaced
Took one week to get the rearend. Dropped off in the morning picked it up that night. Same with the rear washer. I love it! Have had several Toyota trucks and 4 runners in the past and have had problems with them as well. It's under warranty and the dealership has bent over backwards to resolve the problems. First year out you will sometimes have issues.
Just waiting for a SUT version with a v8!!
V8 only to help pull the bigger tires I put on.

11,500 miles and 7 months on my H3 and minimal problems. Had a seat cushion snap fixed by dealer during my first oil change and I've seen my STABTRACK light come on for a few minutes once but that's it. Impressed with overall quality after owning many Toyotas and Hondas for daily drivers.
