Need some help getting into the H3. Factory boards and nerf bars seemed too high to make a comfortable entry, without contorting. (Neither of these options offers any protection for stone chips either) Anyone considered step loops (see http://www.carr.com ??). I'd really like a decent running board that: a) Looked good b)provided stone-chip protection c)actually aided entry/exit. Is this asking too much? Suggestions P.S. Bought the Hummer mud flaps - didn't do a heck of a lot to stop mud/stones, especially with the adventure tires.

Please check out my website for more details about removeable U steps. And they will work with your OEM mud flaps, contrary to what hummer.com says.

f5fstop

From what I see there will be no blockage whatsoever from the underbody protection. The protection goes up to the bolt at the bottom right of this picture. Plenty of room to still get into the drain plug etc.
