BEC connector question
I didn't think much of this untill I tried to reintall the relay/fuse block and it wouldn't latch into place.
The arm on each connector that is supposed to latch onto a plastic knob on the relay/fuse block was down on both connectors.
The knob for the gray connector is broken off. I found it inside the connector. After I unlatched the connectors from the base and installed them into the fuse block The fuse/relay block installed and latched without any problem.
Should I worry about this knob or get the fuse/relay block replaced ASAP.
Thanks

Re: BEC connector question
There's a locking system on either side of the connector. Once I figured out how they work and I got everything back together truck runs fine. One of my connectors has only one latch instead of two. But it's better than nothing. I'm just not very impressed by the design.
The only item I know of added by the dealer was nerf bars. So the only place where the BEC should have been apart would have been during assembly. Because of the way it's made I could tell that it was not put together properly the last time it was open. The bottom part of the connector should be pulled up about an inch when the relay panel is removed. Mine were all the way down. If it wasn't for adding the lights and finding this problem the truck could have died at any time.
The person who put mine together wrong could also have done others wrong. If anyone is having strange electrical problems. The BEC would be a good place to start looking.
Next week I'm going to go talk to the service manager and see what he thinks.
