Smooth Hood
Has anyone seen a replacement hood or any other method to get rid of the hood grille on an H2? I am considering my options and think that a nice smooth hood would look nice, and am considering the possibility of having the hood grille area cut out, welded up, prepped and repainted.
I also am considering a flat black paint on the center of the hood (after mods, of course) following the contour lines of the hood - sort of a dodge-hot-rod sort of style.
Any ideas? Be creative, I'm just thinking about the posibilities - I kind of hate the idea of chroming it up like everyone else, especially since it will be more off-road looking than blingy...

Re: Smooth Hood
I haven't seen a smooth hood. There were some photos in a thread here a while back that featured a hood scoop. I thought it looked pretty neat as it eliminated (covered) the hood handles and black plastic grille/grate.
Try a search for hood scoop or ram air.

Re: Smooth Hood
Just goes to show ya how long I've owned the H2... Didn't know it was fiberglass. That makes it a lot easier.
I looked for hood scoops, but did come across anything. I did see the Xenon replacement that hold three lights. Kind of looked weird...
Thanks for the ideas, even if they came laced with Escalade trash talk!
grumble grumble... buy and escalade... grumble, grumble... maybe for the wife!... grumble grumble...

Re: Smooth Hood
Heres one that comes to mind.

There was someone here the other day that started a rumor that K&N were coming out with a ram air system soon. That's all I know.
