I am about to pick up the magnetic side panels from my dealer. I have heard only rumors that they tend to come off while driving at certain speeds. I know sign companies make panels that stay in place at all speeds, so this confuses me. I would only purchase these if they stay in place at all speeds, otherwise I will just have to be more cautious in the woods. I would appreciate any experiences or knowledge to this rumor asap as I am planning to pick them up tonight.

Thanks in advance!

Doug,
I purchased a set and (returned them for other reasons) mine came with a couple of rolls of clear tape that was to be used to tape all leading edges to the vehicle. I guess to prevent them from peeling off at speed or prevent a branch from catching one and taking it off.

Hope this helps,
John

Thanks for the feedback, my idea is that they should stay on at least for 55mph w/o tape. I will ask my dealer when I pick them up. At this point if he can gaurantee they will not fall off under normal driving conditions I will go for them otherwise forget it.

Heh heh heh think again. I ordered a set for my H2, but when I went to pick them up I decided not to because I had heard they sucked. They fall off all the time, and they just don't work well. I asked my buddy down at the dealer and he was telling me about how they through a set on one of they're trucks, and it would fall off if you did 20-25mph. Remember, these weren't designed to be driven around in. You keep em' in a box, drive to where you're going to be offroading, put them on, tape them down, offroad, take them back off, and go home. Just my .02

Didn't pick them up yet, but I called my dealer and let him know my concerns with them falling off. He said he has sold several and has not heard any complaints. He said they are designed to stay on under all normal driving conditions. He did say he would call the manufacture and ask for the specs. I will post as soon as I find out any additional info.
