First off I just want to start by saying 'hi' to everyone. I don't have the H3 yet but I absolutely love it. I currently have a Jeep Grand Cherokee (don't worry I'm not here to get into the whole Hummer/Jeep debate)but I'm definately looking to move into the H3. Quick questions...how do you guys like the the H3 performance wise and is there any chance GM is going to drop a V8 into one of these?

We've had ours for a few days now. It's my wife's rig. Both my wife and I had H2's but eventually sold both for one reason or another. If it's power you want, I think you'll be disappointed in the H3.

You can actually rent one through Budget Rental Car. Although the H2 was nearly 7,000 pounds, it MOVED. But the H3 is a whole different animal, but it gets nearly twice the gas mileage. Also, it's a lot more user friendly in day to day activities like parking, going through fast food lane, and squeezing through traffic.

I also like the fact that the H3 is a lot more "modern" than the H1 or H2. It can be had with 6 air bags whereas the H1 has no air bag option at all. It's a fun car and it still gets all the atttention that our H2's had.

Get the sunroof! It's huge!

Welcome to the forum!

I sold my ZJ, Tahoe and Corvette and bought my H3 and I love it and am glad I down sized so to speak to 1 truck and I am happy as hell with it.

It is "rumored" that the H3 will have a V8 engine but I dont suspect it will within the next 2-3 yrs.
