Default Need help with my signal lights..

Hello,

I've been having trouble with my left signal light, it won't blink or do anything at all. My right one works perfectly fine. This has been causing my battery to discharge when i dont turn on the h2 for 24 hrs. I called a buddy and he told me it would most likely be the turn signal relay. I called the dealership and got the part # 12177236 i've been trying to figure out where its located but just can't find it. Does anyone know where it's located? Or have any other ideas of what it could be? Or how to fix it?

Looks like it's in the fuse box...check this out: http://automotivedatasystems.com/GMPART13599107.html

Your part number is listed in the chart.

I can't speak for the 08-09s...but on the 03-07s there's one on the driver's side of the dash, behind the panel on the end where the defroster blows air to the door vent. You need to open the driver's side door to gain access...pull the panel from the bottom, there should be three clips that hold it in place.

Then there's one under the hood above the front driver's side wheel well (big black box behind the battery.)

Check your vehicle's manual for assistance...it should identify all the fuses for you.

My H2 is an 03, i looked at those 2 boxes but none of the relays on there now match the part number i was given. I looked at my manual and it shows 3 boxes which are those two and the one by the pedals but none match that part number.

According to this site (http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssem...=0&modelYear=0) part 12177236 is a "RELAY,ELEK BRK CONT IND LP".

According to the 2003 Manual (http://www.manualowl.com/am/Hummer/2003-H2/Manual/689), page 6-66 the Electronic Brake Controller Battery Feed (RTD) fuse is located in the Underhood Fuse Block.

I hope that gets you going in the right direction.

So i was able to fix the problem. The fuse box behind the panel on the end of the dash has a big relay on the inside. Its called the flasher relay. Replaced it and the problem is gone.
