Ok. just like most I'm keep buying into the add on performance parts.. Not Sure if they do any good.but hell sometimes I just got to do it..
So heres the question.. Just put a Flowmaster muffler on my H2 or go for a full system like the Corsa or Borla..
Has anyone seen any verified testing on the H2 or other 6.0 GM for the above comparision..
I have the AIrraid intake installed, the new Hypertech is sitting in my office waiting for me to get off my backside and instal.. Now I know I want a more throaty sound for the H2 ( but not heavy cabin rumble, must keep the wife off my back), so what is the general thoughts on these products.

I really am not an H2 nut, so the only reason I came here is to try to give people the best deal. I know thats what I look for, but I guess I am different than "H2 guys" seems like all you guys want to do is spend your money on expensive suvs and give a guy a hard time. Sorry I came here, gives me a sour taste about H2 people.

I heard that is not the only thing that gives you a sour taste...
Again, you came here to sell products. It does not matter if you have a business or not, you are here to make a buck. So pay for the right.
Furthermore, it seems your prices are not the best...
Now, do not be sorry, participate.

KenP. The BB system looks like the same one SMA sells. If you look on the SMA site, it says its stocked in AZ same place BB is. I a friend of mine has the SMA exhaust on his H2 and its too loud for me. I think I'm going to go with the Corsa Touring system.

KenP. I like the looks of that BB system. How do you like it? Is it very loud inside? I can get a Corsa touring (quieter) system with the off road tip for $729.00. The BB like you have looks like it goes for about $550.00. I don't want an obnoxious sound in the cabin.

I don't know the part number, It was teh 50 series large body 3 chamber, with 2 inlets and one outlet, the muffler shop had them in stock.
its a pretty easy install, you have to loosen the clamp on on of the inlets and the pipe swings down into place, lines up real nice.
cut the aft end after the "Y" and weild in a new piece between the new muffler and and the existing pipe.

if you go to the flowmaster website and click on New products, then click on the H2 one. part number 17379 I think, it will bring up a diagram of all the pieces included, and the features.

Thanks again for all the info.. My local muffler shop has them available for under $200.00 installed. I will check out the posted sites.. I usually just jump in and buy what ever is percieved as the coolest.. not necessarily the best.

This site has sound recordings http://www.bbtriflo.com/
It has a nice rumble to it, but I have not heard it on a stock 6L. I really like the factory location for the exhaust outlet versus the outlet exposed.

This is a link I found. Mind you, these are all Corvette owners expressing their opinions of the system. I KNOW it is for Corvettes, but... http://www.corvetteforum.com/reviews...=185&TopicID=1
Here is the link to the B and B site. http://www.bbtriflo.com/

CTRFR:
The purpose of the pic is to show two things:
Stainless steel construction
Stock location for the exhaust outlet
Muff pic would show same.
It is loud under WOT and it is big.
The rig breaths much easier. As far as performance enhancement I cannot give you that info. I do not know, but now I am going to check.

I put a FlowMaster Delta Flow II on mine and it sounds great and gives it a little bit of Oomph. And the best part- $175 installed!!!
A word of warning on using exhaust pipes that extend out from under the bumper- if you go off-road and come off of something with a steep departure angle you risk crushing your pipe(s) shut. That will definitely affect how your engine runs.

I installed a Flowmaster Muffler on my H2 about two months ago. It sounds so much better and the performance did increase a bit. I sell complete exhaust systems and could have installed a new cat-back system but I just did not want to put any "flash" under the H2 where no one would ever see it plus I would'ent have to keep it clean with the Flowmaster.
