Just for info:
I made a tornado air device (this device fits in your intake and swirls the air) for the H3 and lost power. I know on LS1 f-bodies and corvettes you lose power with the tornado. However, on some vehicles with long intake tubes, you gain because the increased flow from the swirl is greater than the head loss from the swirl element.

You can't add a restriction to the air inlet and expect a performance gain. Period.

I think you can and there are several examples of such things, but my point was that for the H3 a device like this didn't work on mine. The purpose of this warn someone before they bought one. I made mine so I have $0 invested - just time.

The only thing a spiraled throttle body spacer will do is make a really annoying whistling noise when you accelerate. As for the Hi-performance Air intake kits, some work and some don’t. It really depends on how restrictive the stock air box is. I put a Brute force on my Wrangler and it pretty much did nothing (the 6cyl has a very non-restrictive air box) except give it a nice growley sound when accelerating. My buddy put one on His PT Curser and it was a noticeable difference. I don’t get my H3 for another 5-7 weeks so I cant tell you for sure if it would be worth it or not.

Surferjo,
The tornado is a vane device that fits into your intake plumbing. This isn't a TB spacer.

H3 was dyno'd two weeks ago with a "Turbnado". Zero increase in performance. Power was measured at the wheels.

I just put two coats of Zaino on my Hummer and it will give me about 5 HP and 2 MPG since the vehicle is really slick.
