I'm new to H2 ownership and after reading some of the posts here I think a locking gas cap might be a good investment. Anyone know where I can find a locking black gas cap. I would like to keep the original look to the vehicle if possible.

I have already spent about 4 hours looking online with no luck.

Any help would be great.

BTW, I like the community you have here. I'm just more of a lurker than poster.

Type "Fuel Door Black" in search...may have better results. Also, you can find them at most Hummer parts sites on the web as well numerous listings for Ebay. Good luck.

Thanks Rastermaster. I checked those sites but all I could find was the locking doors. I was looking for a black locking cap to keep the original look of the vehicle. I'm a picky bastard.

I will use the search tip though, might have some luck that way.

Ebay has a lot of H2 accessories, I spent about 30 min the other night looking but did not find a black cap.

Thanks again.

I think it was in one of those discussions of the black fuel door that the subject of the cap was brought up. Seems many are using a standard Stant cap purchased at Pepboys or Wal-mart.

Actually, I heard that you could get one called Diablo (or some such) in black, but I only see it in chrome. Kinda looks nice with the chrome ring surround, but I would prefer basic black myself without resorting to the Stant brand.

I purchased a MC2 Chrome locking fuel door, but after it arrived, I decided against it - just too much bling for my machine.

Regards

Don't get a locking has cap for the 2003 if you have a 2004. It won't fit. Stant is supposed to come out with a new model, but we're still waiting.

Thanks. I've been looking at the Stant. I have the 04' so it sounds like I better put it off for a while.

Go to the dealer. The red 04 comes with a chrome fuel door and locking gas cap. I had them look up and was fixing to order just the cap when a tech told me the filler neck had changed and that cap would not fit my 03.
