I am new to the board and this is my first post. Before i posted i did a search and was unable to find anything that answered my question. Last month joined you guys in owning a Hummer by purchasing a new 05 suv(blk, nav, air, roof) and im on my journey to upgrading it. Currently i am hot after rims. I was going to buy the Kaotik nt-1(20 x 10) then i found the mkw m19. I will be running the mkw rim(20 x 11) with the 325/60-20 Terra Grapplers. I will not have a lift and i have not seen anyone running a 20 x 11 rim without a bigger tire and lift. I dont think so, but are there any concerns i should have for running such a wide rim?

BTW, my truck will not be designed for extreme off roading, but i will take it on Hummer Happenings and what not. I figure i can always put my factory rims on if i know im going to do some offroading, till then my Terra Grapplers should more than do the job i ask of them on a daily basis.

Here are a couple pictures of the MKW M19's:

I think this one has 22's on it..not necessarily my look:

The one on the bottom has 20" rims, the 20x11's you're looking for. MKW doesn't make a MK19 22" that I've seen. The first two pics are of trucks with 18x10's.

A friend of mine has the 20x11's and they look AWESOME. I love the way they stick out and make the truck look more aggressive. He also said they never rub unless he's at full lock and backing up and even then it's very little. He has the 325/60R20 Toyo OC A/T.

The diameter size is supposedly 35.2" and 12.9" wide. But that's measured on a 9.5" rim. So by putting that tire on an 11" rim the width will be more and the overall tire diameter may be a tad less.

I'm looking at getting 22's with the Toyo OC M/T and have the same concerns with rubbing as I plan on going with the 37x13.5R22 which has a diameter of 37.1" and a width of 14.1". I also plan on putting them on an 11" wide rim. I'm hoping by cranking the torsion bars a tad it'll fit w/o excessive rubbing.

I thought they would give an aggressive track being so wide...i like the simulated bead lock as well.

Forgive my ignorance but i hear people talking about it rubs "at full lock when backing up"....what does full lock mean?

Full lock just means cranking your steering wheel one way or another until it "locks" or stops. The tires are then turned all the way. You should be fine with that combo w/o even turning up the torsion bars. I'm doubting it will be the same case with my situation.

Also, something to note, with the wider rims you will get a lot of spray on the truck from the road. So in those wet months your truck will get sprayed with the water or mud on the ground because the fender flares aren't wide enough to cover the extra width. You also have a huge rooster tail whenever turning in the rain.

H2_SUT_SC--Thanks for the info...when hear 4 wheel drive and i hear lock i only think of locking differentials. Over spray will be rediculous as my truck is black, but a small price to pay.

KenP--Appreciate the welcome. I look forward to learning about these beast. May not ever hit up Lions Back, but who know what the future holds.

The black/pewter fued is comical. IMO, the only color to have is black--it just looks too good if you can keep it clean.
