I am getting ready to order, So far I am looking at adventure package, standard, plus?... my question is which of the factory options have proven themselves? Are the leather seats holding up to daily use or are the cloth better? How are the different stereo options? (my cd player in my jeep got replaced 3 or 4 times). would the auto trans be worth it for the stabillity control, Front brush gaurd? Rocker Panel Protectors? lights? Any other things you all can think of or factory or after market would be appreciated such as whinch options, roof racks, etc. It will be used daily with a fair amount of off road, no plans for Moab ...yet...

If you're going to use it offroad, definitely get the rocker protection. Maybe the UC protection too. And the rubber floor mats. The monsoon stereo w/ 6 disc changer is also worth it.
The oem brush guard is OK, but there are good aftermarket ones too. As for a roof rack, go with Gobi.

It really depends on your personal preferences and what you are going to use it for. The one option I was not going purchase without was the sunroof. You can get aftermarket but they are not as big.

The factory sunroof is one of the best I've seen. It's huge and a great feature for daily use. The leather seems to be durable and the heated seats are great for those in cold climates.
Auto wih stability control can be helpful in the rain.
I've had my H3 for 8 months.

This will be my daily driver as well as moderate off road use.
The UC protection and the rocker are what I thought would be good, and I love the idea of more space up top, thanks for the Gobi recomendation. I would love to put a winch in but don't want to hang it off the front. I have seen some photo's of the SMA tucked in but can't find it on the web site.
Also I have some Huskie liners in my jeep and love them, do the rubber floor mats match up with huskie's
Any suggestions for a good aftermarket front brush gaurd?
Thanks again for all the help, it will make all the decisions much easier! Can't wait, I haven't been this excited since I bought my jeep, I'm hooked!

The rubber mats don't go up the side like the Huskies, but they do a pretty good job.
I personally have the OEM BG on mine, but I like the SMA BG and may switch it out at some point.

I think there's a Gobi rack in the works that has the tire carrier like the H2 rack. PM Timgco.
You can do a search for pics without the spare. There have been a couple on here. One guy even had the rear gate shaved.

I have two (2) H-3's, both almost identical.
LUX PKG, AUTO, FLAT BLACK SIDE STEPS, CARGO COVER, etc...
The leather is holding up great. Someone showed me many years ago if you have leather or cloth to always move your seat back before getting out. This gives you a softer egress and access therefore saving on seat wear. (yes it does take a couple of seconds extra to do) The 6 CD Monsoon system sounds great (and I have bad ears). The Flat Black Side Steps are the best choice because they are steps along their entire length, not just in small sections. And last but not least the cargo cover does protect from sight those items that you don't want other eyes to see...
Hope that helps a little.

Man I wish I had practiced the sliding of the seat trick on my Jeep. the driverside seat is cracked and needs replacing or covering, good advice I am proof of it! From what I have heard of the stereo it is better than many and much better than I've had till now.

Sewie, I have looked all over for pics showing the rear of the H3 without a carrier, also what do you mean by having the rear gate "shaved" excuse my ignorance.

Here's the link of the shaved rear (H3 that is )
http://elcova.com/groupee/forums/a/t...9481045831/p/1
There's another pic in that thread with just the spare removed. There is a vent for the cabin behind the spare which was "shaved" and filled in on the yellow one.

Thanks for the link, looks good but I see potential for a ladder and roof rack w/tire carrier on top! should be easy enough, too bed Gobi hasn't picked up on what would seem to be an easy application to move the spare. I hate the spare hanging off the ass of my jeep, don't want the same sit. on the H3!
Any one know designers at Gobi!
