Ok, was down to the wire, actually sitting in the dealers office, preparing the order for two (2) H-3's, thought I had the deal down flat and at the last minute they wanted to add OVER $1000.00 per truck advertising fees.

I've been to 3 dealers before this to look and talk, been on the forum several times, though I had done ALL my research about this and no ware, no how have I seen or heard of passing advertising fees of over $1000.00 as a factory charge. ME, who has a big mouth and KNOWS IT ALL got caught with my pants down. Of couse didn't sign and also didn't yell and scream just said I will have to get back to you.

So, all my more knowledge friends on this sight an I getting the shaft OR is/are the ad fees really shown as a factory charge to the dealer on the FACTORY INVOICE? (no dealer installed accessories involved) Like I said here, Edmunds site, Costco site, other sites and no mention on AD FEES (of course unless I'm old and blind and can't hear)

SO, HELP ME WITH GOOD ANSWERS

Thanks

RYD

I'd tell them to take their advertising fees and cram them up their arse. BS!!!!!

their are the destenation fees per vehicle, but not over 1K each. Are you using GMS pricing or getting any deal? Or are you paying sticker?

What a crock!!! Theres got to be another dealer close to you?

I think the destination fee for the H3 is $565 bucks. I know sometimes the dealer will try to nail you for advertising fees if its a vehicle that is already sitting on the lot. I have always told them to go fly a kite on the advertising fees with no problem. I think its just an added bounus for the sales guy that gets someone that roles in and pays sticker no questions asked....

No, I know the destination fees are %$565 per truck and I already took that into account, and I know there is no direct markup on destination charges.

I got my pricing down to $450 over factory invoice. I figured that plus the holdback was enought profit for them BUT...

Thanks for the fast answer. I will await a few more replys and then sleep on it.

Will let U ALL know the outcome!

Thanks,

RYD

Sounds like you'd be better off getting a GMID certificate and paying 2% over invoice. Not as much fun as negotiating, but it will leave you enough time to go get a root canal, that should make up for it.

Good luck.

Sounds like a load of crap to me. Just a way to try to tack some extra profit on the deal.

Doesn't matter what they call it, it's just extra juice for the dealership

OK !

First time I posted that everyone was of the SAME opinion ...

BUT

Would like to hear from you all that work at Hummer Dealerships also. I do value your opinion too.

Thanks,

RYD
