Just spoke with my agent and got my verbal quote. As others have mentioned, make sure that your agent is picking the LOWER priced policies to reflect coverage for the H3 NOT the H1 or H2. I use Nationwide and they are still not able to identify the H3 from the 1st 5 VIN digits like the can with older vehicles, but she did have 3 different coverage costs for Hummers and she is assuuming that these reflect coverage for the 3 different models.
I expected a pretty good jump as I moving coverage from an old 1996 Audi A4 to the H3. My insurance went up $200 per year ($16.60 per mo)...which I didn't think was bad based on the difference in car value.
Thoughts?
Btw, I am supposed to pick up the beast tonight!

Wannabe:
Sounds like an exciting day, good luck!
Ordered 8/5 and picking up tonight? Pretty good.
I went from an '04 explorer and rate went up $104 a year. About what I was expecting. Yours sounds about right also.

I just switched to Progressive...
They include the H3 in their online quote list...

Well, I have been with my agent for a long time, so with good driver discounts, multiple vehicle and loyal customer discounts they quoted me $804.00 per year for full coverage.

My area I think is expensive and my H3 is only $63.00 / month. My BMW Z3 is $119.00.
The Z3 should be close in comparison to your Audi except mine is newer.
I don't think your price for insurance should go up.
The numbers above reflect multiple discounts for a clean driver.

If you are male over 25 or married and don't have lots of accidents or tickets that quote is way to high.

Michigan Farm Bureau for me. (No, I'm not a farmer, although there is nothing wrong with farmers.)
Dropped an '03 Vette, and I received a check back from the company for $75. Yearly for the H3 will be about $650.00, and that is in MI; noted for high insurance.

Looks like I'll have to call back and make sure they are not putting me in an H2 or H1 category. It is $67.00 per month, however, we are in Kaleefornya.

Ahh thats why.
Some advice? my mother inlaw is insurance broker. If you have any assets of value, a house or such I would up that limit! I have heard to many horror stories of accidents and people getting sued and losing badly. a multiple car accident here with 2 luxury vehicles will suck those limits very fast. Not saying your bad driver at all. Calif is a sue happy state. Personally here I carry the max you can. at least 300/100/50. as a base
