You dont want to paint them, you want to coat them. Paint will scratch off, a coating will not. I know its available now but most people don't know its around. Drop me you contact info and I will let you know what I find. I want it for my H2 too! BIG-C

I looked into this as I am planning on coloring my dash as well. My local body shop (good reputation) said they would paint/coat them with the same exact finish as the exterior. This to me seems extremely durable. Definetley more durable than the origonal finish. I was planning on getting this done next week. What is the difference between coating and painting.

Doug,

A coating is like the fake wood they put on the Denali and Escalade dashs. It wraps the plastic and will not peel off like paint will. You can get a wood finish or a painted look from the same prossess. Its hard to make paint stick to plastic, they have plastic prep cleaners to help but in the end if anything nicks it or you bends the plastic it will peel off. You can get paint to look very good but its a matter of time till it starts to come off. BIG-C

Thanks for the info CG, I am going to inquire about the coating you speak of. No matter what direction I take I will post pic's when complete.

Try this link for a coated dash service. Enter the car then go to the dash core exchange tab.

We can paint your dash. It is just one step eliminated from our normal processing for our wood grain or carbon fiber looks. See here http://www.elegantwooddesign.com/H2_source_only.htm
