I have the Delphi SkyFi unit in my Cherokee and bring it in and use it on my desk at work. I can't stand listening to FM anymore!

I want XM in my H2, but I am waiting for XM Direct to be released. This will be an "official" XM Radio product that will connected to and be controlled by GM radios.
The product should be out for GM applications in the July-August time frame.
Here's a link to XM Direct for BMWs to give you an idea of what the kit will look like:

Klaus,
How about the SoundGate PIOGM1.V2?
It's supposed to work much better than the first one. PIOGM1.V2

Yes, the Soundgate adapter is out there. They are currently up to version 4 of the adapter. Even when they work, you are limited to an 8 character display, as opposed to a 16 character display XM broadcasts. There are other quirks as well... Ask Navigator!
Another problem is that the Pioneer XM modules that the Soundgate requires are rumored to be soon discontinued (other manufacturers, such as Sony, have already discontinued their XM tuners). Why? Because XM Direct will be releasing tuners for aftermarket radios as well as for OEM factory radios!
Anyway, I can wait a couple of months to see if the official product works better.

I have the Soundgate adaptor connecting a Pioneer box directly into my nav system. I have had no trouble. As Klaus points out the display characters are limited but it's no big deal as I have my map on 99% of the time.
Major gripe would be I can't jump categories so I've pre set stations strategically throughtout the band so I can jump to somewhere close I want to be.
I have a friend with GM's XM built into his Chevy truck and he has the same problem.

I have to agree with you Dan, FM in my area blows anymore. I constantly listen to CD's.
Klaus,
Any word on projected costs for the entire unit?

I have the XM Roady in mine right now, it does a good job of giving me something to listen to. Only thing that bugs me is the volume is like half that of the radio so even with it turned all the way up it isn't anywhere near as loud as it should be. It may have something to do with the FM Modulator but hell if I know. Now that I have my new radio installed I am ordering the module for it so that should help.

Frank, I know mine has an adjustable output level. I have mine set so it cranks louder than the regular stereo. Maybe you should RTFM?

Wife and I love XM radio. Just a few considerations: I am partial to the Delphi Skyfi simply due to being able to pay for the subscription on one receiver and using it in multiple vehicles, the boom box, and the home. I have three vehicle adapters, the boombox, and a home vehicle adapter. Since installing the PAC AAI-GM24 Auxiliary Audio Input Converter and getting rid of the fm modulator, I would not consider the built-in factory XM unless I did not have another vehicle or just did not care how many subscriptions that I paid. It is very convenient to move the receiver in seconds from the H2 to the Harley or Vette, and then back to the house.

Klaus...hate to bring you down but Blitzsafe told me 18 months ago that the adapter would be out "in a month or two." I checked every few months and continued to get the same answer. Don't hold your breath on those idiots.

I called BlitzSafe today and they gave me the same song & dance they gave me last year. I think it was even verbatim.
The only difference between the Soundgate V2 and V4 is that 2 is limited to 8 characters and 4 gets 16. Other than that they function the same.

Yeah, I know Blitzsafe has been dragging their feet. However, they do have the BMW kit out now, and I suspect that XM Radio will be pushing them to get with the program.
Drty, I think V4 still only shows 8 characters. Navigator has one, so he can confirm.
Terk is also working on on XM Direct for GM. Here's a picture from the CES.

I have the soundgate adapter for a couple months now in wife's h2 and it works great, but is a little slow going though the channels compared to the unit I have in my truck...
other than that the soundgate was a good buy if you want the factory look.
