Technical specifications of a stripper pole?

Ok now that we know that they do not spin we can move on to the next questions? What is the diameter of a stripper pole, the wall on the pipe, and how is it anchored? I'm thinking the diameter is about three inches, I need to put it in a stud obviously but what about the floor?
