Re: orange peel
I don't know if they will replace it or not, But if they offer to re-paint it have them somewhere or somehow put it all in writing that it was a pre-existing paint issue and it was not wrecked. I still say "go get em", You are 100% right you did not buy a POS, you bought a HUMMER and that they should be responsible enough to take care of you and this issue. I speak for myself.. I wish you all the luck in this!! I had an issue with Dodge a while back and all this crap is aggravating.

Re: orange peel
Yep. But after going over the truck several times, taking out scratches it seems to be much less noticable. I could be losing my mind, but I don't really notice it anymore. I'll have to really take a look at it again, soon.

Re: orange peel
VWs come from the factory with orange peel. I'm sure there are a lot of manufacturers that have this problem and i'm sure it stems from mass production and just lack of time/quality/cost to get the paint perfecto. It doesn't bother me on my H3.

There were some posts on that last year, seemed some people had that problem.
Fortunately both of mine were ok.

Re: orange peel
I see orange peel on most new cars now. Even BMW's have it. I remember my dad was looking at one, and asked the salesperson repeatedly if it had been repaired, because the orange-peel was so noticeable.
