Re: mirror covers
just so u guys know:
after searching forum and finding out the chrome parts come off from the inside i took them off last night.
really not that hard at all:
1)pull out/off mirror glass
2)remove 4 bolts holding mirror together
3)seperate mirror
4)pop chrome piece out of mirror half
good luck if u try,
bill
p.s. p/c rims and gas cap are on / having caps, mirror covers painted
black it out in progress (aka murdered out)

Cool, I finally replaced a good portion of color and chrome on my H2 with black parts yesterday. Just need to do my rims, gas cap and mirror inserts as well.

I hope you are having your mirror covers plastic coated. That duplicolor tends to come off on the corners here and there. Since th ebugs gt smashed all over them, you cannot scrub them too hard or take a preasure washer to them. That plastic coat stuff will hold up better than paint ot the duplicolor.

Re: mirror covers
figured i try paint at first by a local shop (multi coats plus mult clear), then adjust from there
real good point though
just dropped off 8 wheel caps (knowing some clown is going to steal one eventually), mirror caps, and the grey license plate/rear tire cap piece
this will make my sut all black except for the spare that needs to be p/c
and may tint front side windows/back window dark
i'll post pics soon
also noticed your h2 logos, were they painted?
thanks,
bill

The H2 badges are duplicolor also. FWIW, when I had my stock rims PC'd on my SUT, I had the center caps plasticoated and they held up very well.

Re: mirror covers
Don't forget to smoke or clear the marker, turn signal, cab and tail lights. Must remove all color!
