Am i nuts or is this just silly...

Our HR director calls me today asking if I will be attending the sr manager meeting dinner held the first night of the meetings.

I tell her yes, of course I plan on attending...

She tells me that they are doing something different this year, so I ask well lets hear it...

They have found some resturant (which is rumored to be very popular) that you come in pick out what you would like to eat out of pretty much all knids of foods and then are supervised by a master chef to COOK IT YOURSELF.

After you are done cooking your own meal, you then get to eat it.

I jokingly asked, and we paid for this?

Isnt the point of going "out to dinner" is to have someone else that can cook better than you actually cook it for you and be served?

Am i nuts? Or is this just silly to have all of our sr management fly into town for our annual meeting and take them to a resturant where they are made to cook thier own meals...
